LANSING -- An Ingham County Circuit judge has temporarily blocked a new law requiring Michigan public school employees to pay more for their pensions.

This happened Tuesday, the same day that Governor Rick Snyder signed the changes into effect.

The injunction gives public school employees more time to decide whether to pay more towards pensions, accept a lower pension, freeze or switch them.

The original law required a decision from teachers by October 26th, now there is a hearing on legal challenges from teachers' union on November 28th.
