The Resort Bear Creek Fire Department, Michigan State Police and Emmet County Sheriff responded to a fire on Thursday evening at the Up North School of Cosmetology in Petoskey.
The back of the building, located on State Route 31, was on fire. School ends at 4:30 pm and the fire started around 5:30 pm. There were no students in the building at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
