TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City's first off-leash park for dogs is now open.
While the city will be adding signage, benches and waste stations over the next two months, people and their furry friends are invited to use the park now.
There will be a grand opening in the fall, as well as a few fundraisers to pay for water stations. So far, the park has raised more than $17,000, but they are still looking for more donations. You can make a donation on the park's website by clicking here.
The space is located at Division, Bay and Cypress streets.
