REED CITY -- The head of the Osceola County Road Commission has been charged with perjury.

Cliff Youngs was arrested Thursday and was charged with perjury.

The charge stems from an investigation into misappropriated county funds.

Michigan State Police originally called the investigation an embezzlement case, but after speaking with the Osceola County Prosecutor, we have learned the charge is perjury.

Youngs was released on personal recognizance bond. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
