The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office arrested the 28-year-old on Criminal Sexual Conduct in the 1st Degree.
TRAVERSE CITY -- A former public school employee in Traverse City is accused of having sex with a 7th grader.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office arrested Marc Morris, 28, on Criminal Sexual Conduct in the 1st Degree Wednesday. Morris is a former janitor at Traverse City East Middle School. According to his employment records with Traverse City Area Public Schools he was fired from TCAPS on July 19, 2011 after he came to work drunk.
Investigators say the crime took place in July, 2010 when the victim was in 7th grade at the school. The crime was reported to the Sheriff's Office on July 22, 2012.
