CHARLEVOIX TOWNSHIP -- A Charlevoix Township business was damaged by fire late Tuesday afternoon.

The Charlevoix Township Fire Department tells 7 & 4 News that the fire at Featherly's Auto and Truck Service on U.S. 31 South broke out around 5:30 p.m.

Fire Chief Curt Thompson says the blaze started on the second floor in an apartment area above the garage.

Flames were contained to a small part of the building but much of the structure sustained smoke and water damage.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
