TRAVERSE CITY -- City voters will get the chance to weigh in on a proposal to improve Division Street in Traverse City.

The proposal will be on the November 6 ballot and will ask voters to approve using up to 30 feet of city park land along Division Street between Eighth and 14th streets for upgrades.

Wording for the ballot is still pending approval.

Commisioners passed on two other possible ballot questions this fall. The first was seeking a park land vote on creating a potential route for Eighth Street off Division to link to Munson Medical Center. The other that was decided against was seeking approval for the potential sale of excess land at the east end of Oakwood Cemetery.
