ANTRIM CO. -- Two men have been caught trying to pass off fake $100 bills to several northern Michigan businesses.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post were called out to Antrim County to visit the Northern Bear Country Store in Alba.

They were informed that a man had tried to pass one of his $100 counterfeit bills there.

Troopers later tracked down and arrested the 36 year old Mancelona man and his driver.  The man admitted to attempting to use the money at the Alba store as well as a few Mancelona businesses.
