ESCANABA -- Legendary American Bandstand host, Dick Clark, passed away almost a month ago, and a local wedding entertainment director was a part of Clark's private memorial service.  Mitch Taylor of Taylored Weddings in Escanaba provided the cocktail reception music in the grounds as guests arrived for the actual service.  It took place at Clark's private estate in Malibu, California on May 3.

Taylor received a phone call invitation from a close friend who's performed at family functions for Clark's family.

"It was a very private affair.  There were no printed invitations.  It was all phone calls from Dick's family to people to be there, and it was just an honor to be there amongst the celebrities that performed, such as Paul Anka and Rebe McEntire, and we also had Stevie Wonder perform," said Taylor.

Taylor added that it was a surreal experience to be at the memorial service.
