GAYLORD -- UpNorthLive's Facebook fans voted to hear more about the upcoming Otsego Lake Splash-In.  The annual event brings as many as 100 planes to the Gaylord area for a weekend of fun.

The Seaplane Splash-In will take place June, 8-10 at the Otsego County Park, which is located on West Otsego Lake Road in Gaylord.  For 31 years, seaplanes from the United States and Canada have been gathering at the county park for friendship, fun and competition.

The fun kicks into high gear on Saturday when the parade of planes fly over Gaylord in procession.  The parade is followed by a variety of contests including the Skill-Bomb Drop, Spot Landing and Take-off.  Saturday evening, the pilots, co-pilots and their guests gather at BJ's Restaurant on Old 27 for the Annual Awards Banquet.

You can find more information about the event by heading to the Otsego Park website or the Seaplane Pilots Association's website.

You can help choose the news by taking part in our Facebook Story of the Day segment.  Each evening, three new stories are posted to our Facebook fan page.  You have until 9am the following day to cast your vote for the story you want to see on 7&4 News at 6.
