TRAVERSE CITY -- It was a mouth-watering event that promised to satisfy the sweet tooth and this year hundreds came out for the Traverse City Chocolate Festival, making it one sweet event.

Now in its second year, the tasty festival is all about celebrating Traverse City as a true chocolate destination.

Hundreds came out to the City Opera house Sunday afternoon to sample everything from candies, pastries, beverages and ice cream -- all chocolate-flavored of course!

There were also demonstrations and mini-lectures going on and folks had the chance to pick up a sweet present for Mother’s Day which is coming up.

As a continued commitment to the local community, proceeds of the event are donated to The Northwest Food Coalition.
