WEXFORD CO. -- Wexford County officials had a tough time trying to control a suspect they apprehended in a hit and run car accident.
The accident took place Sunday on East 40 Road in Cherry Grove Township.
The suspect was located two blocks over on East 38 Road and taken into custody.
He first attempted to escape from the patrol vehicle before being restrained and he later put up a fight at Mercy Hospital while officials were executing a blood search warrant.
They believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. The suspect now awaits his arraignment.
