CLARE -- A Clare County man is facing several charges after he growled at and bit a state trooper during an arrest.

Michigan State Police say they went to 18-year old Justin Yates home to arrest him on an assault warrant.

They say when Yates tried to get away, he began growling, and then bit a trooper on the right wrist.

Yates is now facing additional charges of assaulting a police officer and two counts of resisting and obstructing police.
