CADILLAC -- A Cadillac man is serving time for stealing donation jars from area businesses. The money being raised was for the Salvation Army and Children's Miracle Network.
Matthew Kendall was sentenced Monday to 180 days in jail. He pleaded guilty in February to five counts, including larceny and assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. Kendall is also ordered to pay back the money taken, which totals about $510.
Kendall was arrested in December, just hours after police released pictures from store cameras of the donation jar thefts.
