CHEBOYGAN CO., MI -- UpNorthLive's Facebook fans voted to hear more about the soup supper fundraiser Cheboygan County Humane Society plans to hold.
You can help support the Cheboygan County Humane Society and fill your stomach at the same time.
Next Friday, the humane society will have a soup supper at Inverness Township Hall from 3:30 to 6:30.
Money raised will go towards the dogs and cats in the shelter and right now, every extra dollar helps.
"There's more animals, less donation, more people that need help, so the money goes toward helping the shelter stay open as well as for our food pantry, which helps people keep their pets in their home," says Mary Talaske, Executive Director of Cheboygan County Humane Society.
If you can't make it, the humane society says it'll always take donations, but the best thing for you to do is to adopt a pet.
