VANDERBILT -- Fire crews on scene of a barn fire Wednesday night on Otsego County, fought flames shooting up to 20 feet in the air.

The fire started around 6:30pm near Vanderbilt on Whitmarsh Road.  It was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.

We're told there was livestock inside the barn and today we learned two calves were killed.

The barn and a garage are both a total loss and 5 other nearby buildings were also damaged.

The owner did have insurance, and the exact cause remains under investigation.
