The Reinvention Convention kicks off with an invitation to join the hunt and reinvent Goodwill Retail items into artistic masterpieces.

They are inviting artists and sponsors to join the 2012 Reinvention Convention, where imagination is the only limitation in this art-inspired fun-raiser.

Any person or group who wants to use their creativity and artistic talents to transform items found in the Goodwill retail store into sculptures, mosaics, fiber art, paintings, furnishings or other masterpieces.

Register as an artist at the Traverse City, Goodwill Store anytime between November 15, 2011, and April 1, 2012. Registration is $20 and includes a packet with $30 worth of Goodwill Buck$ valid for the Traverse City Goodwill Retail Store. Reinvent your purchased treasures into works of art!

All entries will be gathered together for a special art exhibit May 3-6. Visitors to the museum-style exhibit can vote for their favorite artist or art entries through monetary donations. Voting will also be available online.

All reinvented artistic masterpieces will also be sold with proceeds benefiting the Workers on Wheels program.

Sponsorship packages are available at a variety of levels. Your support sends a message that you and/your company support programs that help families overcome barriers to independence, our
environment and creativity.
