TRAVERSE CITY -- Kids were able to buy their families something special this holiday season at the annual "Secret Santa Shopping Day” in Traverse City.
Each year, the Women's Resource Center hosts the event at its thrift shop in Traverse City. It’s a chance for underprivileged kids to pick out a present to give to their parents this Christmas.
Each child was given $5.00 per parent in “Santa Bucks” to shop throughout the store.
This is the 9th year of the “Secret Santa Shopping Day” event, and organizers hope it will continue for years to come.
