MANISTEE -- Michigan ranks second nationally in the production of Christmas Trees, and  Manistee County is home to many farms that produce the holiday trees. This year, the Manistee Community Kitchen has partnered with local tree farmers to ensure that local families have access to these beautiful trees.

On Saturday, December 10th, a pay-what-you-can Christmas Tree sale will be taking place in the parking lot of the Manistee Inn and Marina, on River Street in Manistee.

"In the past we've sold trees for as little as a dollar", explains Brandon Seng, Community Kitchen founder. "Success for us isn't about raising funds, but helping our neighbors have homes that smell and feel like Christmas."
