From disciplining your children to early childhood development, these workshops can improve your parenting skills.
CHARLEVOIX -- Parenting is tough, and some of the area's best experts are sharing their parenting secrets. If you'd like to improve your parenting skills, there will be free training series for parents, grandparents, guardians and professionals of children of all ages. NMCAA Conscious Discipline Mentor and Certified Conscious Discipline instructor Lesa Rice will be speaking at the following workshops in-person at one location, and broadcast to five additional locations.
Nov. 16, 2011: 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Exploring and implementing Conscious Discipline skills and structures in the home and school. Lesa Rice will be in-person at the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District.
Feb. 15, 2011: 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Review and discussion of how to prevent power struggles. Rice will be in-person at Warbler's Nest at Kirtland Community College.
April 18, 2011: 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Learning from each other, and sharing Conscious Discipline sussesses and mistakes. Role-play of difficult situations and review series. Rice will be in-person at the COOR Intermediate School District in Roscommon.
