GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- Authorities in Leelanau County are asking for your help tracking down a missing person.

The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office says 59 year- old Jay Farr, from Northport, left work at around 8 am Saturday morning and has not been seen since.

He reportedly got onto his dinghy boat near Leelanau peninsula and was traveling to North Point Marina to get to his sailboat.

Sunday morning, police recovered a dinghy, believed to belong to Farr, on the east side of Grand Traverse Bay.

Farr is described as a white male, 6ft. tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He has gray hair and green eyes. 7&4 News is working on getting a picture, and will post it as soon as it becomes available.
