Swim team gets an education in breast health

The Manistee High School swim team will be making a splash at their "Splash Of Pink" breast cancer awareness meet on Thursday October 6th at the Manistee High School Pool.  At 6pm, the swimmers will take the plunge in order to support breast cancer awareness.

"The first step is awareness and the second step is action, I think that's really important said Nathalie Kenny one swim team member.

The team also had the opportunity to learn first hand from a mamographer, on how to give themselves breast exams and how to educate other women in their lives.

The pool will decorated in pink, the girls will wear pink swim caps and each lane will be dedicated to someone who has fought the disease.
