A road project continues on a busy stretch in Traverse City Monday.
TRAVERSE CITY -- UPDATE: MDOT says the project on Division Street in Traverse City is now set to begin Wednesday. Officials say the contractor of the project needed to adjust the schedule slightly and push back the date to resume the project from Monday to Wednesday.

Reminder to commuters in Traverse City: A large road construction project will start slowing down your drive this week.
The project on Division Street that was suspended for the busy summer tourist season is set to start back up. Crews will be working on the stretch of U.S. 31 from 14th street to Front Street.
There will be lane shifts and closures during the daytime. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction at all times but drivers are warned to expect delays.
Work is expected to wrap up in October.
