TRAVERSE CITY -- New details  are being released through federal court records on the investigation into more than one million dollars of missing money from Munson Healthcare.   An accountant is accused of stealing the money.

No charges have been filed, but the disclosure was made Friday in federal court in Grand Rapids.

The Internal Revenue Service asked a judge to seize personal and business bank accounts that Susan Morrison had access to.   Morrison owns the Great Lake Bear Factory in Traverse City.  The business account and another personal account under the name of Stacy McClellan, who is Morrison's live-in girlfriend,  were also seized.

Morrison was an accountant for Munson Healthcare from 2001 until April 28, 2011.  Morrison was suspended from Munson after officials learned she may have embezzled about $1,105,000 from the hospital.

Morrison had access to Munson bank accounts held in the name of Munson and also the Munson Foundation, an account used for donor contributions.

According to court records, she was also responsible for making Automatic Clearing House (ACH) payments from the Munson bank accounts, paying payroll taxes, and making deposits into employee retirement plans.
