MONTMORENCY COUNTY -- Construction us set to begin at Rush Lake Boating Access Site in Montmorency County

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment announced that the Rush Lake boating access site in Montmorency County will close temporarily today (July 26) for the installation of a new concrete ramp and vault toilet. The site will reopen on Friday, July 30, for weekend boaters and facilities will also be available.

This project is financed through the Michigan State Waterways Fund, a restricted fund derived from boat registration fees and the Michigan marine fuel tax, which is used for the construction, operation and maintenance of recreational boating facilities, harbors and inland waterways.
