Two area health departments are opening up H1N1 clinics for the general public.

The Centers For Disease Control and the State of Michigan notified health departments that the restrictions on the H1N1 vaccinations can now be lifted.

The Chippewa County Health Department's first all-public H1N1 clinic will be held Friday, December 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Avery Square at 510 Ashmun Street.

District Health Department #10, which serves Crawford, Kalkaska, Lake, Manistee, Mason, Mecosta, Missaukee, Newaygo, Oceana and Wexford Counties, is asking people to log onto its website or to call to schedule an appointment for the H1N1 vaccine.

Additional H1N1 vaccination clinics will be scheduled. For more information click on the links provided: CHIPPEWA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT or DISTRICT HEALTH DEPARTMENT #10
