FRANKFORT -- A Benzie County dentist's office is offering kids a chance to trade in their candy for cash.

The business is Franke Family Dentistry in Frankfort.

They tell us the idea is two fold - one it keeps kids from eating too much candy -- and two the candy they buy back will boxed up and sent to soldiers fighting over seas.

"We just thought it was a great was to get the candy away from the kids after they're done having some pieces that they really enjoy and then giving away to some people that might not have any in foreign countries where they're supporting our country," said Dr. Jana Franke.

The Frankes will pay 1-dollar a pound -- up to 5 pounds per person.

Their office is located on M-115 in Frankfort.
