One man is dead and two others hurt after rollover crash

PORTAGE TWP., MACKINAC CO. -- An investigation is underway in Mackinac County after a rollover crash kills one man and sends two others to the hospital.
It happened around 1:43 a.m. Sunday on H-33 North of Curtis in Portage Township.
State Police Troopers say a van was traveling northbound on H-33 when it ran off the right side of the roadway on a curve. The van overturned several times in the ditch, hitting a power pole.
The driver, 37-year-old Eric Johnson from Goshen, Indiana was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people in the van were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
