One person killed and two others hurt after a driver loses control of his vehicle.

DRUMMOND ISLAND, CHIPPEWA CO. -- The Michigan State Police are investigating a one vehicle crash that left one person dead in Chippewa County.
It happened around 6:20 Sunday morning on Maxton Plains Rd. on Drummond Island.
Officials say the vehicle was southbound when the driver lost control and overturned. There were five people inside. Three people were hurt and taken to the hospital. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital.
State Police Troopers are continuing their investigation.
