PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY -- The Michigan Department of Transportation will start a new project in Presque Isle County Monday.
MDOT will resurface 11.5 miles of U.S. 23 from the Presque Isle/Alpena County line to County Road 638. Traffic will be maintained using intermittent flag control.
The 1.2 Million Dollar project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
