Drivers can expect some tie-ups for a smoother drive in the future

PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY -- The Michigan Department of Transportation will start a new project in Presque Isle County Monday.

MDOT will resurface 11.5 miles of U.S. 23 from the Presque Isle/Alpena County line to County Road 638.  Traffic will be maintained using intermittent flag control.

The 1.2 Million Dollar project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
