TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City leaders are encouraging you to get out and check out some of the unique local art the area has to offer. The Downtown Traverse City Art walk is going on tomorrow. It's a self guided tour where you can't walk around the Front Street area and visit 19 different art galleries. The idea is to help boost business now that the main tourism season is over.

"Ladies, women, younger folk, it's just a great way to expose artists and also expose downtown to a lot of people that haven't maybe stepped inside the shops in a while," said Colleen Paveglio the Marketing Director for the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority.
