HONOR -- It's a Benzie County families idea to boost the local economy and promote green living. Food For Thought's Green Cuisine event is happening next week. Since it began 4 years ago it has always been a zero-waste event. Samples are served on corn-based dishware and left over scraps are composted into soil for future plantings.

The idea is to spread awareness about the benefits of local food and sustainable business practices. The Green Cuisine event will be held next Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m.

The Young's Farm is on Oviatt Road in Honor. It is free to attend, but you need to register.
