GRAND TRAVERSE AREA -- If you are looking to buy a new home, or just like looking, you can do exactly that and help local communities at the same time.

The Parade of Homes, put on by the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area (HBAGTA), is happening right now. For a small cost you can tour 17 homes. The money raised by the tours is then handed out to area non-profit organizations. Over the years the event has helped raise nearly $250,000 for Northern Michigan communities.

The parade continues through Sunday. Tickets are $10.
