SAULT STE. MARIE -- Dana Skytta and Sean Kutzler drive their kayaks along the St. Mary's River shoreline on April 29 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

The pair is warming up for an expedition around the circumference of Lake Michigan that begins May 8 as a fundraiser for the American Red Cross.

Skytta is a junior from Michigamme, Mich., majoring in parks and recreation management at Lake Superior State University. Kutzler is an LSSU alumnus from Sault Ste. Marie who majored in liberal studies with a concentration in nursing and minors in sociology and gerontology.
