INDIAN RIVER -- Caleb Drogowski, a junior at Inland Lakes High School in Indian River, Michigan was selected to participate in the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar program. The Summer Seminar is a fast-paced, six-day experience for high achievers who had completed their junior year in high school and are considering applying for admission to the U.S. Naval Academy after graduation.

The Summer Seminar will teach prospective applicants about life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics, and professional training play equally important roles in developing our nation’s leaders. The potential cadets will live, breath, and experience campus life first hand.

Founded in 1845, Naval Academy is a highly competitive four-year undergraduate institution that prepares young men and woman morally, mentally, and physically to be Navy or Marine Corps officers. Upon graduation, Naval Academy Midshipmen receive a Bachelor of Science degree in one of 22 majors and a commission as ensigns in the U.S. Navy or second lieutenants in the U.S. Marine Corps and serve at least five years of service to the nation.
