The Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation Department has invited the public to voice their opinions on a new Parks and Recreation plan.

The workshop, held on December 17 at 6 pm at the Civic Center meeting room, will solicit input for the county-wide 2013-2018 Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation Plan. The plan will assist the department in planning and determining the public's needs.

The workshop will be facilitated by Megan Olds, of the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, and John Sych, from the Grand Traverse County Planning Department.

Olds and Sych will review several related studies and prior research, open the floor to the public for comments and input, and will then ask the public to prioritize the suggestions from the previous studies and input from the public.

If you are unable to attend the workshop, but wish to submit input, you can email parks@grandtraverse.org or by calling 231-922-4818 and speaking with Erith or Jason.
