Tuesday, December 11, 2012  Procrastination can get the best of us anytime of the year, but it can be even worse during the holidays.The bumper-to-bumper traffic can be enough to keep anyone inside until the holiday rush is over, but if you don't get out to get a gift you may be left feeling guilty once the gift giving begins. If you do get stuck in a rut this season, I found a few quick and inexpensive gifts you can whip up as late as 10 minutes before you're due to give a gift.

Wednesday, December 05, 2012  This year I was planning to decorate our Christmas tree with handmade ornaments, but I gave in and bought ornaments from the store. I know, completely unoriginal, but I was eager to decorate the tree and had no time to make the ornaments.But that doesn't mean I can't start making ornaments for the tree next year! I like the idea of getting the kids involved with decorating for Christmas.

Monday, December 03, 2012  This weekend my family strolled the streets of TC to experience all of the holiday magic. Downtown is beautifully lit with all of the cheery Christmas lights and the great tree looks beautiful. I brought along my camera to capture all of the wonderful gems on Front St. and the Grand Traverse Commons.

Tuesday, November 27, 2012  If you haven't started decorating for the holidays yet now is the time to start looking for ideas.I like to consider myself a pretty crafty person, so when I see something that I can make myself I always give it a try. Often times it's cheaper and it's always a talking point when friends and family come over. When I was on Pinterest today I came across a few great pins for holiday decorations. I also found a bunch of ideas for fun holiday ornaments.

There are also some of us who are just starting out with a young family, myself included, and we're trying to figure out what holiday traditions we want to carry on from year to year.

Wednesday, November 07, 2012  Trying to find fun activities for the little ones can sometimes get a bit messy. I know with my son I would love to let him scribble with crayons and markers, but I know once I turn my back our walls will look like a life size coloring page!I found a few Pinteresting activities that are fun for the kids without all of the mess.

Thursday, October 18, 2012  For my husband's birthday I wanted to make him something unique.His office was a blank canvas, so I decided to make him artwork to hang on the walls. We came across a pin on Pinterest of Superhero art. So, I put my artistic skills to the test and I recreated these images using Photoshop instead.

Tuesday, September 18, 2012  As promised, here is the picture of our newly revamped wooden bench. The bench looks great in our living room and is quite comfortable. It's amazing what you can do with curbside furniture when you use your imagination.
