| Someone in Northern Michigan has a shot at claiming they have the ugliest kitchen and taking home a big prize! TV 7& 4 is heloping kick off the Ugly Kitchen Contest. Shane Inman, a sponsor and Interior Designer says this contest is a way "for all of the industry partners in the home remodeling business to come together and to give back at a grassroots level to somebody that's needing a kitchen, has a personal story and is in need of a kitchen makeover." If you feel you have an ugly kitchen you can apply online and send in pictures of your ugly kitchen. If you're selected...you could win a custom designed kitchen makeover worth 35,000 dollars! |  |
Raelene Wooden-Hall, an organizer says, "we've been receiving calls and emails, people are already asking if we can have an ugly bathroom contest, so who knows what we're on to, this is just something that's going to be really fun, really exciting and pretty much just be the talk of the town." And that's what organizers are hoping for. Sponsors are coming together to give the winner everything...from counter tops...cabinets...to even flooring and appliances. Another local sponsor, Steve Berg says, "it's a great way to do just that, give someone something that they need and really, probably something that they can't even imagine how good it could be."
