TRAVERSE CITY -- A non-profit animal rescue and placement facility in Grand Traverse County is asking for your help. Petsafe Rescue Alliance in Traverse City helps place unwanted and homeless animals into loving homes. While the organization searches for permanent homes for the animals they stay with foster families who watch them temporarily.
The problem right now is that all of the foster homes are full and the Alliance is also behind on vet and food bills. That means they can't take on any more animals.
Petsafe makes sure each animal is spayed or neutered, caught up on vaccinations, tested for diseases and given a health certificate. The average vet bill per animal is about $150.
