Two pedestrians were killed and three others injured when they were hit by a car in Mackinac County. Then the driver sped off.

It happened late Saturday night in Gould City. The sheriff's office says the pedestrians were hit on South Gould City Road. It's not clear if they were in the street or on the side of the road. Investigators all of the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance - and two people died from their injuries.

Deputies found the car and arrested the suspected driver early this morning... And they have sent the case to the prosecutor for possible charges. No names have been released.

We would also like to know if anyone knows how the girls are doing. My fiance was friends with one of the girls back in high school.
