A woman is behind bars in Emmet County tonight, charged with embezzling more than $100,000 from her work. An investigation started in May of last year after the U.S. Postal Service in Petoskey noticed an unusual number of stamps being sold.

Records lead investigators to Robyn Garver, the bookkeeper at the Windjammer Cove and Marina Development. They say Garver was buying stamps and phone cards using company checks, selling them on eBay, and shipping them off using a company FedEx account. A PayPal account was set up, which they say she used to buy things for her family. Garver was fired in November of last year and Windjammer began an audit.

Today she was arraigned on 8 felony charges including criminal enterprise conducting, embezzlement of more than $100,000, two counts of use of a computer to commit a crime and four counts of uttering and publishing.
