TRAVERSE CITY -- UpNorthLive.com is getting breaking information about a furniture store that has caught fire.
Fire crews and officials have responded to SB Rustics on US-31 North.
Early reports say that the building caught fire around 4:30 PM on Wednesday.
Witnesses say they can see heavy black smoke and flames coming from the structure.
Grand Traverse Metro Fire Chief Pat Parker says six people were inside the building at the time of the fire.
Everyone got out safely, but the business is destroyed.
Crews remain on scene putting out hot spots and securing the area.
7&4 News is told that the building is insured.
