Two more northern Michigan communities are asking residents to help prevent water lines from freezing.
Roscommon Village officials say because of the cold temperature it is necessary that all village residents and businesses keep water running day and night.
Officials say water bills will be adjusted so customers will not be charged for the additional water use.
A similar water run is in effect in Beulah in Benzie County.
In both cases the water stream should be about the size of a pencil.
