ALPENA -- A group of concerned nurses and community members are planning to rally on Monday to speak out against proposed cuts at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

The Michigan Nurses Association tells 7&4 News that a mix of nurses, retirees, families, and community members are upset about Alpena Regional Medical Center's efforts to implement wage and benefit cuts.

Officials from the Michigan Nurses Association say these cuts are drastic and could make it difficult to make a living. They are also concerned about the effects these cuts could have on patient care and the local economy.

The rally will be held Monday, March 11th at 5:30pm at Duck Park, located across the street from the Alpena Regional Medical Center.
