GRAND TRAVERSE CO. -- The Village of Kingsley recently approved a $20,000 contract with the Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation to help create an economic plan that would re-vamp the village.

The project will include a 5-month study that will help determine what they have to work with and what needs to be added.

The overall goal for this project is to create more activity in downtown Kingsley while catching more pass through traffic headed into Traverse City.

The EDC hopes to have some plans move forward throughout the next five months, but significant changes are expected by fall.
