The superintendent for the area's largest school district will be with the school system for another year. That's because on December 19th the Traverse City Area Public Schools board of education gave superintendent Steve Cousins an "Exceeds Expectations" for his performance review.

In just about two weeks students around the state will return to school. One northern Michigan district has its administrators and principals already back at work this week and part of their preparations include discussing swine flu preventions.
