UPDATED WITH VIDEO: Lake Michigan has the highest number of current-related fatalities and rescues of all the Great Lakes, with 77 fatalities and at least 230 rescues since 2002. That is 201 more rip current incidents than all of the other lakes combined.

The National Weather Service has issued a moderate to high risk for rip currents in the Great Lakes until Wednesday. The U.S. Coast Guard says learning how to recognize a rip current and how to get out of one may save your life.
