The Traverse City Police Department says they're expecting a much larger crowd than usual this year in downtown Traverse City. With the Cherry-T-Ball drop that's scheduled to take place on Front Street Thursday evening, police say more people will be in the area. That's why police are increasing patrols this year, even having two police officers patrolling Front Street on foot throughout the evening.
