The National Weather Service in Gaylord, in conjunction with the StormReady Advisory Board, is recognizing Interlochen State Park for becoming the first state park in Northern Michigan to become StormReady.

The National Weather Service in Gaylord has confirmed that a weak EF-0 tornado touched down at 6:56 pm. The tornado remained on the ground for two minutes a few miles south of Cadillac. It was estimated to reach a maximum intensity of 65 miles per hour with winds causing damage to a steel roof.
