    Friday, March 08, 2013  Fifteen brothers from the Grand Valley Alpha Tau Omega chapter spent the past eight days walking from Grand Rapids to Traverse City - all to raise money for multiple sclerosis.
  • Wednesday, March 14, 2012  It's a disease that affects 400,000 people across the country and northern Michigan is one area with a high rate of people who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.  There is also currently no cure for MS and medical researchers are not sure what exactly causes the disease.  7&4's Melissa Smith sat down with Karin Boyd from Grand Traverse County who was diagnosed with MS in 2005 to hear her personal story.

  • Monday, March 14, 2011  Multiple Sclerosis Awareness week kicks off March 14th, so to get the word out, 7&4's Melissa Smith sat down with Fred Schaafsma who is part of the MS Society Michigan Chapter and also Dr. Eileen Schweickert who also has MS.  The two broke down the signs and symptoms of the disease as well as details to the upcoming MS Walk in Traverse City.
